Build Real Mathematical Thinking
Understanding First
Students are often taught to follow steps and apply formulas. That can work in familiar situations, but it breaks down when problems change — and it does not build a way of thinking that carries beyond the classroom.
The focus here is different.
Students learn how to think through problems, understand structure, and reason clearly. They develop a mental framework they can apply to unfamiliar situations in mathematics and beyond.
The goal is simple: build real understanding and the ability to solve problems independently.
About Marc
Marc completed a French Baccalaureate with a mathematics specialization, holds a B.S. and M.S. in Mathematics (4.0 GPA), and earned a Ph.D. in Economics with a specialty in Econometrics. He currently teaches mathematical economics and econometrics (the study of statistical modeling and regression) at Georgia State University.
During his Ph.D., he was awarded the Quantitative Award in Econometrics for exceptional analytical ability.
He has taught mathematics and econometrics at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels, and has experience competing in math competitions.
Outside academia, Marc is the Co-Founder and Executive Advisor of an aviation firm.
Summer Math Program
Small group (6–8 students) · In-person · 3 weeks · 2 hours/day · Limited spots . Dunwoody GA . Sandy Spring GA . Atlanta GA
About the Summer Math Program
A rigorous summer program designed to build deep mathematical understanding and strong problem-solving ability through structured training and sustained practice.
Students move beyond surface-level learning toward clarity, structure, and precision.
Designed for students who want to go beyond the standard curriculum and develop true mathematical mastery.
This is for students preparing to take precalculus or calculus, who want to build a strong foundation before the school year.
The Training
Building Mathematical Intuition
Developing understanding beyond formulas and procedures. Students learn to see underlying patterns and connections that make mathematics coherent and intuitive.
Advanced Problem-Solving Strategies
Techniques to tackle complex problems efficiently. Students learn frameworks and approaches that help them break down difficult problems into manageable parts.

Math Coaching
Private and small group coaching · Algebra, Precalculus, and Calculus
Dunwoody GA . Sandy Spring GA . Atlanta GA
Math Coaching
Personalized coaching for students who want focused support or want to push further.
Each student works through the material with structure and intention, strengthening understanding, developing problem-solving skills, and addressing gaps directly.
Whether the goal is to overcome difficulty or reach a higher level of performance, the coaching adapts to the student.
Small Group Coaching
A structured environment where students learn alongside a small cohort.
Sessions emphasize active engagement, disciplined practice, and clear reasoning. Students are trained to think, not just follow steps.
The group dynamic reinforces consistency, accountability, and depth of understanding.
What Students Develop
Homeschool Program
A comprehensive, year-long homeschool program focused on structured mathematical training for students who want to develop a deep and intuitive understanding of mathematics. The program emphasizes conceptual mastery and problem-solving skills essential for higher-level STEM studies.
Students build:
Strong problem-solving ability and independence
A clear understanding of mathematical concepts and reasoning, not just procedures
Mathematical intuition that carries into higher-level courses
The ability to engage with unfamiliar situations with confidence
Consistency, discipline, and focus in their work
The ability to handle failure, sustain focus, and manage stress
Who It’s For
Designed for students who want to move beyond surface-level learning and develop a deep, structured understanding of mathematics. The goal is to build independent problem-solving ability, mathematical clarity, and readiness for advanced study.
Ideal for students who:
Want a clear, conceptually grounded understanding of algebra, precalculus, or calculus
Are interested in understanding the “why” behind mathematical ideas
Need targeted support within a structured and disciplined learning environment focused on thinking, not memorization
Want to build strong problem-solving skills and true mathematical intuition
Benefit from accountability, consistency, and clear expectations
Are preparing for higher-level STEM studies
Prefer a mentorship-based approach with focused guidance and feedback
Our Approach
Mathematics is about understanding, not just applying steps.
The goal is to develop clear thinking, problem-solving ability, and independence. Students learn to engage with the structure of the material, so they can handle unfamiliar problems with confidence.
Core Principles
Conceptual Understanding First
Students learn how concepts work, not just how to apply them. This builds a way of thinking that extends beyond mathematics and applies to new and unfamiliar situations.
Building Intuition
Concepts are learned in a connected and structured way, so students can understand how ideas relate, recognize patterns, and navigate with greater confidence.
Problem-Solving Focus
Students work through problems that require thought, strategy, and persistence, rather than repetitive drills. This builds both skill and discipline.
What Students Say
“Marc has made me believe I could do difficult things.”
“Working with Marc has helped me excel in math and other classes.”
“He makes you see the underlying structures behind concepts, helping everything come together clearly.”
“Marc breaks down concepts, so you actually understand them, not just memorize them.”
“Marc doesn’t just teach you how to solve problems. He helps you understand why they work.”
